The most notable advance made by Drone Tech Aerial this year has been the procurement of a section 333 FAA exemption. In conjunction with commercial drone insurance, the section 333 FAA exemption means that Drone Tech Aerial is now 100% legal to operate commercially in the U.S.
2015 has been good. Drone tech aerial acquired some new equipment this year, and said good-by to a few birds as well. We start the new year with a new heavy lift vehicle, the Devourer x8. At the heart of this beast is the DJI A2 flight controller , which manages a power system from KDE direct. Utilizing a custom built vibration isolation plate, a Cinemilled billet adapter receives a DJI Ronin or Movi Gimbals. Video signal is sent via the Ammimon Connex system back to the ground station in stunning HD. A monster in the sky, this amazing machine can lift 20 lbs for an all up weight of around 50 lbs!! Lifting RED, Arri Mini, or other 360 VR cameras is now a reality.
Also new to the Drone Tech Aerial arsenal is the DJI Inspire1 Pro. Featuring the new X5 camera/gimbal, a system capable of shooting DSLR quality 4k footage from a camera a similar to a Panasonic GH4 but only a bit larger than a GoPro! Don’t worry it uses real glass with the option to switch prime lenses. Amazing advances in technology have given us this light weight, portable system which allows us the ability to capture high quality aerial imaging from almost anywhere.
With the Acquisition of some new, cutting edge equipment, and the gleaming shield of compliance that is section 333 exemption, Drone Tech Aerial Cinematography is ready to face 2016 and beyond as a leader in professional aerial imaging and unmanned aerial system integration.
