Credits include Inside Bill’s Brain and Living Undocumented for Netflix, Percy Jackson and the Olympians for Disney+, Lucy in the Sky for Fox Searchlight, and the 2020 Golden Globe Awards.
Production-Grade Aerial for Film and TV
We are a Netflix-approved drone vendor with credits on major studio films and streaming originals. Our drone cinematography integrates with traditional camera departments: we work with DPs, ADs, and production coordinators from prep through wrap. It is the same aerial cinematography unit that covers commercial and live event work across Los Angeles. Credits include Inside Bill’s Brain (Netflix, 2019), Living Undocumented (Netflix), Lucy in the Sky (Fox Searchlight, Natalie Portman), the 2020 Golden Globe Awards, and more than a dozen additional studio and broadcast productions.

Film and TV Drone Cinematography: FAQ
Can the aerial match the show’s A camera?
Yes. When the show is on ARRI, the Freefly Alta 8 carries the production’s Alexa Mini with the lens package the A camera is running, so aerial footage shares the sensor and color science through the grade. For lighter packages the DJI Inspire 3 with Zenmuse X9 shoots 8K full-frame ProRes RAW.
Do you provide Netflix vendor rider documentation?
Yes. Drone Tech Aerial is a Netflix Approved Vendor and can supply the compliance documentation a streaming rider asks for, alongside the certificate of insurance and written flight plan every production receives before first call.
Can you fly at night and over the production crew?
Night operations run under an active FAA Part 107.29 waiver. Flight over participants of the production is permitted under Part 107; flight over the general public requires a waiver with roughly 30 days of lead time, which we file when the schedule allows.
Do you work with union productions?
We maintain a working relationship with IATSE Local 600 and can operate on union productions with the appropriate waivers or Local 600 operators from our network. We also operate as a non-union unit.
