A Los Angeles drone crew built for film, television, and commercial production. Every pilot holds an active FAA Part 107 certificate plus the night flight, airspace, and operations-over-people waivers complex LA productions require. We staff as a department: pilot, camera operator, ground safety, and producer-side coordination on FilmLA permitting and LAANC authorization.
Pilot / Engineer
Jaron Denson
Jaron served the U.S. Department of Defense for five years engineering, manufacturing, and piloting unmanned aircraft. He holds an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, a B.S. in Physics, and both Private Pilot and FAA Part 107 certificates.
A former lead aeronautical engineer at an unmanned aircraft company, Jaron brings methodical operation and attention to detail to every flight. In 2013 he turned to commercial aviation and co-founded Drone Tech Aerial, self-authoring one of the first FAA Section 333 Exemptions granted for film work.

Randall Berkeley
Randall has worked across the visual media field as camera operator, colorist, and editor, with a long background in building and testing radio-controlled equipment and robotics.
He is versed in every aspect of unmanned vehicle work: constructing, tuning, flying, repairing, and operating both multirotor aircraft and terrestrial rovers. He co-founded Drone Tech Aerial and is an integral part of the creative and technical process.
